DESCRIPTION:This presentation will explore the critical role of early intervention in the assessment and treatment of children with developmental and behavioral challenges. It will provide a comprehensive approach that includes psychological services and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to address problematic behaviors stemming from both developmental disorders and other sources. The discussion will cover the importance of diagnosing versus treating symptoms of functional impairment, the concept of neurodiversity, and the unique strengths and challenges of each child.
