Maricel Miranda
Education & Support Specialist
Mari Miranda was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where she studied Early Childhood Education. In 1999 she moved to the Sunshine State and became a South Florida Resident. She is the proud mom of two wonderful and handsome boys with special needs, Alex & AJ. In 2020, Mari became a family that needed guidance, help & support for her oldest son with a Hearing Impairment and contacted Parent to Parent of Miami. This experience awakened her desire to help other struggling families and to bring awareness to special needs children and decided to join the team of Parent to Parent of Miami two years later, in 2022 as an Education and Support Specialist.
Her previous experiences include working for a not-for-profit organization helping families with a home-based model focused on parent-child-centered learning designed to remove barriers and to reach low-income families to become their child’s first teacher. She has also worked as a lead preschool teacher and afterschool care program in a private learning center as well as a private tutor for many years helping children overcome educational difficulties.
In her free time, she enjoys cooking gourmet food, baking desserts, listening to music, dancing, watching movies, gardening, painting/coloring, doing arts and crafts, watching movies, and playing board games with her family.
