Lisett Perez

Transition Coordinator

Lisett Perez joined Parent to Parent of Miami with the goal of raising awareness and providing much-needed support to parents and the community. Born in Cuba, Lisett holds a Bachelor’s degree in Translation and Interpretation. Her amazing son, Jean, was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and has limited communication skills.

Lisett first started with the organization as an Education and Support Specialist assisting families with school-related concerns and conducted presentations, workshops, and outreach activities to increase awareness and promote inclusion.

Currently in her role as Transition Coordinator, she identifies families in need of transition services and holds meetings with parents and youth to create transition plans, addressing topics such as self-advocacy, independent living, and post-secondary education. Meetings with the Youth Engagement Council are often coordinated around transition-related topics that impact young adults.
