Maria Alejandra Alderete

Education & Support Specialist

Alejandra was born in Tucumán, Argentina, and has always had a deep commitment to helping others. With a background in math, electronics, and safety training, her professional life took a meaningful turn when her daughter was born with a rare genetic syndrome that affects her health and development. Alejandra’s personal journey led her to become a dedicated advocate for children with special needs and their families.

Since relocating to the United States, she immersed herself in the school system, learning firsthand about IEPs, early intervention, and therapeutic services. Over the years, she has served as PTA President at her daughter’s school, worked as a paraprofessional in special education, and trained as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), supporting both children and their families.

Today, Alejandra brings her lived experience and professional training to Parent to Parent of Miami, where she works as an Education and Support Specialist. She is passionate about guiding parents through the challenges of raising a child with disabilities, providing not only information and resources, but empathy and hope. Alejandra is especially proud of her daughter, who continues to inspire others by shining brightly despite the obstacles she faces.
