Family Engagement Picnic

Our Family Engagement Picnic is an annual event provided for families being supported by our organization and typically takes place in February. Parents come together for a great day of fun and relaxation to network and share stories with other parents who have children with disabilities. This annual picnic allows children to play together in a safe and nurturing environment where everyone’s “abilities” are celebrated.
Community agencies and sponsor partners are invited to join the fun and help provide community resources to help parents get the information they need to thrive. Interested in joining our event? Please contact us for more information.

As of January 1, 2026, more Floridians are now
eligible to open ABLE accounts thanks to the ABLE
Age Adjustment Act—a game-changer for individuals
diagnosed with disabilities between ages 27 and 46.
Whether you’re a veteran, living with a mental health
condition, or managing a diagnosis like MS, Lupus, or
Parkinson’s, this expansion could open the door to
tax-free savings, new investment options, and financial
flexibility - while protecting access to public benefits.

To celebrate, ABLE United is offering a free $50
account contribution to anyone that enrolls by 4/30.
